There is no greater moment than giving away a Big Check.

Wait - scratch that. Giving away a Big Check to a teacher? From homeplate at AT&T Park, in front of friends and family? One worth $20,000, and handed to you by a league MVP?

Yeah, that's better.

I was proud to launch the very first All Star Teacher program for Fox Sports Net, and even prouder to celebrate its' 10th anniversary in 2016. The program entailed creating custom vignettes that profiled 5 teachers, selecting the winner via an online voting campaign, and partnering with our local teams and advertisers to pull the whole thing off.

I met science teachers, gym teachers, art teachers - we made stars out of these personalities, and I lit up like a Christmas tree every time I saw one of them on our air.

Each teacher was more worthy than the next - and nothing beat that Big Check moment.
